Cleghorn School Park Pavilion
CVHBA worked in partnership with the Cleghorn School Park Committee in a portion of work activity associated with demolition of the old school building and development of the park. The park will feature softball, picnic pavilion, concessions, soccer fields, walking trails and learning gardens. The small community of Cleghorn, in the town of Pleasant Valley, received the land from Eau Claire School District, upon closing the former Cleghorn Elementary School. Approximately nine acres were donated to the Pleasant Valley Township and the Township is working with the Cleghorn School Park Committee to provide a recreational area for the residents of Southern Eau Claire County and public alike. Park Committee Chairperson Julie Graaskamp said, "It's an honor to have been chosen as your next philanthropic project and we are truly grateful for your generosity! Thank you!" A big Thank You! goes out to all our members who donated time and materials to help frame the Pavilion on October 3-5.
