DESIGNING SPACES FOR NOW & IN THE FUTURE, 1:30 PM
Today's seniors are staying healthy and maintaining active lifestyles, which allows them to remain in their homes longer. This trend has created a wave of new products and building strategies that ensure comfort, safety and independence. Presented by MONICA SOMMERFELDT LEWIS, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, STEVE WURZER, owner of Wurzer Builders, Inc. and SHANNON MELVIN owner of Wood Wright Construction.

BASICS OF BACKYARD COMPOSTING, 3 PM
Composting is a win-win for you, your garden and the environment! Put your food scraps to good use by starting a compost in your own backyard. This workshop will give you the know-how of the process and composting terminology, as well as what tools you'll need to get started. Participants will be entered to win one year of free standard service from Veolia Environmental Services. Presented by JIM DAVIS of Veolia.

BUG WATCH: "GOOD, BAD & UGLY", 5 PM
Are pesky bugs eating away at your beautiful garden? Learn how to identify and take care of the good and the bad with various organic and chemical sprays. Presented by PATTY MARTIN of Green Thumb Landscaping & Excavating.

RE-DO TO RENEW, 6:30 PM
Take the Designer Challenge and create a new look that expresses your personality without breaking the bank! Submit digital color photos of your problem space taken from each corner, with an explanation of what you don't like about it. WALL TRENDS FOR 2010, 10 AM

DREW BENINATI, of the Minneapolis Institute of Fine Finishes/Hirshfields, will also reveal paint color trends for 2010! ROSS PUDENZ, owner of Pudenz Irrigation, LLC and Grasscapes, delivers an action packed lawn to outshine your neighbor's, then you can't miss this seminar! Not enough incentive? One participant will receive a free spring fertilizer and weed control application.

BUILDING A RETAINING WALL, 12:30 PM
KURT TEWINKLE, who represents Versa-Lok Retaining Walls in Western Wisconsin, demonstrates the ease of building an outdoor living area using modular retaining wall blocks, with an emphasis on building columns and short walls. Participants in this workshop will be entered in a drawing to win two pallets of Versa-Lok Retaining Wall Blocks, valued between $300-$400.

FROM DRAB TO FAB WITH CONCRETE OVERLAY FLOORS, 2 PM
