What is the CHIPPEWA VALLEY HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION?

Our mission is to build a better area housing industry through promotion, advocacy and education.

The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association (CVHBA) is a non-profit trade association representing the home building industry in the Chippewa Valley. As a membership-based organization, we serve members in all aspects of the home building and remodeling industry including: builders, subcontractors, financing, title work, marketing, insurance and other professional services. The CVHBA provides opportunities for members to build connections, market their business, and save money. In addition, the CVHBA is commited to connecting with area youth with opportunities in the skilled trades, advocating on home building and housing issues and being a resource for area homeowners.

Whether building a new home, remodeling an existing home or needing a home service, the CVHBA should be your first stop! If you aren't sure who to contact, our staff are happy to help you connect you to area businesses. All of our members go through an application process that includes reference checks, proof of business insurance and all Builder Members must have a Dwelling Contractor license. We can also answer questions and provide information for the public on a wide range of topics. Visit our blog for information on a variety of home projects.

  • "I have been a member of the CVHBA for over 20 years.  Being a part of such a large diverse group of construction professionals has enhanced my business.  As a Mortgage Loan Officer, I use many of the CVHBA resources for both social and professional means. "

    Barb Oas, Royal Credit Union

  • "As a homebuilder and a longtime member of the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association, I’ve seen the value of membership first hand. While there are many benefits with membership, including the Home & Garden Show and Parade of Homes, I especially like the networking opportunities such as 'Builder After Hours'."

    Mike Marthaler, Mike's Custom Homes

  • "Signature Homes has been a Contractor Member of the CVHBA since 1999. The Parade of Homes has been a fantastic marketing opportunity for us to show the caliber of homes we build year after year. Recently we have been using the ongoing Contractor Education Events to earn credits to meet State of Wisconsin licensing and enjoy the benefit of doing that at no cost. We are  also able to send prospective clients to the CVHBA when we are not able to take on their project or it’s not the right fit for us. We’ve also had the CVHBA forward prospective clients our way as well. We plan to continue our Membership and encourage others to join when we’ve been asked about joining the CVHBA."

    Linda Machmeier, Signature Homes

  • "Being part of the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association enhances my business and provides a level of prestige and credibility in the Chippewa Valley. As a member, I have numerous opportunities to connect with other members in the building industry and with area homeowners. These relationships I’ve developed as a part of the CVHBA have been important as I grew my business and my membership continues to help enhance our reputation in the community."

Rob Bearrood, Chippewa Valley Door Company

  • “Being a member of the CVHBA connects my company with others across the entire building industry.  The relationships formed by actively participating in events and committees has resulted in growth, both personally as well as professionally.  It’s great working together with a group that is motivated to improve our industry, both locally as well as nationally.”
